as much as i enjoyed taleb’s the black swan (look mom, no caps!), i really didn’t like his new book, the bed of procrustes. while the former is thought provoking, the latter is not; taleb’s wrapped up his rants and advice on the form of aphorisms, digestable in a way that doesn’t lend itself to further wasting wetware cpu-cycles. the way ideas are presented does matter, and in this case, the mode is inimical to the contents.
so there.
